Une question d’analyse indéterminée.

Il s’agit d’une note de deux pages concernant une généralisation du théorème d’Euler qui, dans ses Eléments d’Algèbre (tome II, 247, p.355), a démontré que l’équation x³ ± y³ = 2z³ est impossible pour x ≠ y. Delannoy montre la même impossibilité pour les deux équations 2x³ ± 2y³ = 8z³ et x³ ± y³ = 4z³.

A question of indeterminate analysis

This article is a two pages note concerning a generalisation of Euler’s theorem which, in his Elements of Algebra (tom II , p.247, p.355), demonstrated that the equation x³ ± y³ = 2z³ is impossible for x ≠ y. Delannoy shows the same impossibility for the two equations 2x³ ± 2y³ = 8z³ and x³ ± y³ = 4z³.
